What privileges do my site members have?

Members of a family site have full editing privileges for that particular site.

To restrict your members so that they cannot edit the family tree, please go to Settings > Privacy > and under the Members tab, you will see the option to do so. Save your settings.

Please note, if the tree was created in Family Tree Builder and then published to the family site, then no one, including yourself, can edit your tree online. In order for you to update your tree, you will have to re-publish from Family Tree Builder and your tree online will be replaced with the newly published one.

You can choose whether or not to give your members the privilege to invite people to your family site. To do so, please go into Settings > General, and you will see the checkbox ‘allow members to invite other members to your site’. Make sure to save your settings!
