When Rev. George H. Tilton, A.M. wrote his "A History of Rehoboth Massachusetts", he included in it the vital parts of an earlier history of the town published in 1836. Rev. Tilton felt that<br><br> enough time had elapsed since that history to add to it which he did in this book. The book begins with the settling of the town, its history during the Revolution and the Civil War. It also contains chapters on education, the Antiquarian Society, agriculture, native trees, cemeteries, and other items of interest. It also contains many illustrations.
